Fast Lane Daily Turns 500

It’s hard to imagine such a number. Fast Lane Daily has produced 500 episodes. The big 5 double-oh. This is something very few other online shows have reached, with big names such as Rocketboom.

Now some of you critics may think you’re smart and look at the Youtube episode count, and see less… and yes, that is true, there are no longer 500 episodes listed on youtube, due to some issues still being worked out by our lawyers and such. However, there have actually been 503 episodes to date, not all publicly available.

We’ve gone from this:

To this:

It’s proud to have been part of 500 daily episodes, of a show that is still going strong. This coming February 26th, Fast Lane Daily will turn 2 years old. After only 2 years, the show has grown in epic proportions. Starting at only 1,000 views an episode on Youtube alone, FLD now achieves on average 50,000 views on Youtube alone. Per day. Every day.

Talk about an amazing feat… and with little to no promotion, to top it off.

Congratulations to everyone who has worked on the show. It couldn’t have been possible without any of you. (I saying this, after editing roughly 350 episodes myself. It’s been a wild ride.)

Here are some photos of today’s production, as it happened. Enjoy… and thanks for watching.

Happy 2009 – It’s Reel Time

Happy New Year, welcome to 2009. That’s right, it’s 2009. Yes, 2009, not 2008, but 2009. Nine, the number 9 is fun. I remember 1999, not like it was yesterday, but like, well, something that can be remembered.

Anyhow, pointless typing and reading aside, I’m welcoming in the new year with this reel, a new website, and a new post. (That you’re reading right now.)

Happy New Year, 2009

I hope you all had a great 2008, and of course, are looking forward to a fantastic new year. Keep an eye out for some things to come, things I’m sure you’ll be as excited to see as I. Otherwise, enjoy!

Check it out on Vimeo or Youtube, so you can watch it in HD. Conveniently, it’s also available on my new site under the video section!

Last Post of 2008

Well another year has come and gone. I’m thankful for a lot of things, it’s definitely been one interesting year. Lots has happened in my own life, both good and bad. I have to look back upon it and reflect. I’ve lost Grandparents and my dog Buster, of 15 years.

I’ve also gained some great things. You know who you are.

There will be more positive and negative to come. Hopefully you can share in my reflection of this past year, and think to the future and what good it can bring. I’m going to make an effort to blog here more frequently, and maintain my integrity as someone who creates content in multiple ways.

Lets make 2009 awesome. (Ignore my blatantly false giddiness, seriously.)

New Site — New Blog

After some time and consideration, I have determined that I no longer have the time to fully update my blog as I have in the past. I am moving everything around, the blog is now located here. (http://ianjenkins.net/blog)

A new website will soon be in place, hopefully something more professional. My goal is to focus on career oriented work from this point forth.

Good day!
