The Year of 2007

Monday, December 31st, 2007

This year was a fast year. Well, only fast because so many things have happened to me. Both good and bad.

I can honestly say that this has by far been the most interesting year of my life thus far. Below I will list a number of things in no particular order, that occurred. Links available when relevant.

Lots of small things happened that I cannot remember, but the above are just major bullet points for this year. Some of you may consider my list small or pathetic, but to me, it means something.

I put together a short little video which should help summarize some key parts of this years work.

Have a happy new year! Lets all work to make 2008 great.

Dionysos: Tais Toi Mon Coeur

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

I was pointed to this video recently, and it is absolutely stunning. I’ve watched it a few times now and I am completely sucked in.

If anybody can tell me more about it, who may know, I’d love to learn.

From what I can tell, it’s a music video for a French band called Dionysos, and the song is entitled “Tais Toi Mon Coeur,” from their latest album La Mecanique du Coeur.

I am reminded of Tim Burton’s work, like The Nightmare Before Christmas, and A Corpse Bride. More importantly, it looks like something that The Brothers Quay would produce. I am also reminded of some of the puppetry in Jan Švankmajer’s “Faust“.

This video is utterly amazing work. I am in love with it.

Happy Holidays!

Tuesday, December 25th, 2007

I just wanted to take this moment to thank you all for your support, love, friendship, viewership, or any other type of ship you may have used to sail your way into my life in one way or another.

Thank you all. Have a wonderful holiday season, and a happy new year!

As a side note, it’s been nearly one full year now that I have had this blog running. I’ve had countless websites with long lifespans, but this one has far outreached traffic measurements and kept my interest level long enough. I owe it all to you.

These girls will thank you, too.

If you’re ever wondering what I’m up to, and I don’t blog about it for some reason, you can check out some of my other websites like http://ian3.net, ian6.com (not online yet), loladay.com (also a work in progress), and http://thrilloftheroad.com.

These are just the things I’m willing to mention. I have more down the pipeline. *hint hint*

Keep telling yourself that, is what he said to himself. But the answer never rang through.

As I sit here listening to Rammstein, I feel more and more inclined to come up with reasons for creating a new theme. But there really aren’t any. I just wanted a change.

Old Theme

(I know, this is almost identical to my previous theme.)

Before you speak, the goal was to create a grungy and drab “state of mind”, what have you. That being said, please give me any thoughts you have about the theme. I’d like some input. Do you absolutely hate it? Does it make you want to smack me?
