Kristopher Attwood drinks PBR!

Thursday, April 26th, 2007

Kris is a friend of mine who frequently talks about the ethics and moral dilemmas of life. Occasionally, he will be overheard discussing bowling, or pool.

On this rare occasion, I managed to capture him discussing the finer things in life, such as pink bow ties.

Kris

Kris: Actually if you had a top hat, and then tipped it, with a slight bow.
Me: Exactly, and a cane, or a monocle.
Kris: Ok Mr. Peanut
Me: Or maybe a pink bow tie?
Kris: With polka dots? thats what makes a bow-tie, unless it spins.
Me: No, the kind without, the kind you wear on your head for flare.
Kris: So who wears a bow tie in their hair?
Me: Hipsters, people who drink PBR, and My Little Pony.

I have the surprising suspicion that Kris may in fact be a Hipster. Maybe it’s the pink bow tie? or maybe his love for PBR. Only time can tell.

Following the above, I received more wonderful commentary:

Kris: You’re my little pony…. if you know what I mean

Thank You Sokha Saing

For the past few months, my blog has been a disaster for users browsing with Internet Explorer. Well, the problem is finally fixed.

I decided to dig deep into the problem with my template, and fix the issues killing the sidebar some of you may now see to the right. The design is slightly different, and not as pretty, but it’s much more functional.

Since Internet Explorer still holds roughly 60% of the internet within its grasp, I felt inclined to make the changes.

However, I would not have done anything, had Sokha’s persistent, IE7-fan-boy nagging not bothered me. I know he loves IE, but that’s because he’s not a Firefox fan-boy such as myself. (I’m kidding Sokha, I love you.)

Sokha

Here’s a conversation that occurred between us earlier this evening:

Me: Ok asshole, I fixed my blog, now it works with IE.
Sokha: Nice, thanks ian

And there you have it… proof that he’s a nagging jerk.

Ok, you got me. This was just a cheap way to plug his site, and give him credit for pushing me to fix my own site like I did to him earlier.

So, thank you Sokha, you rock.

For anyone else, let me know what you think of the new design. Is it too wide for your browser? Does it look like crap? Whatever your thoughts are, please let me know.

A bar named BAR; I am ET.

Sunday, April 15th, 2007

Two fun stories for today. Enjoy them.

Story 1

Last night I was in Brooklyn at this pretty sweet bar, and I don’t really know if it had a name… all I could tell is that it had huge iron doors as if it were hiding massive machinery.

Luckily it was not. In fact, it was hiding a hip and trendy place that is definitely worth visiting again. The people seemed very cool, even though I didn’t actually meet anybody new.

There were darts, a pool table (which was impossible to get access to, sadly), and ping-pong. Some photo’s of the night:

The drinks weren’t too pricey, which made it that much more worthwhile.

What made it even better, is that I was with a bunch of cool people from work, and my awesome friends from college (Kris and Sokha) from Albany and Boston. Thanks for visiting, you know how much I love you. Love

Kris, Sokha

Story 2

I was sent a message via one of the sites I belong to. It went as follows:

Your first picture looks like ET.

That was it. Nothing more. I am so scared, scared for my life, scared for humanity, scared for all. Now, I don’t really disagree with the statement, at least with this specific pose. I am just so confused as to what could possibly compel someone to say that.

Pictures for comparison:

ET & Me

But I really find it strange that someone would even bother contacting me to tell me that I look like the alien that plagued my childhood nightmares for years.

I guess it really is ironic, because I was the only one scaring myself then, and now that I look like what I was afraid of, I have become my own worst fear. Well, as a child at least.

Blogging about People: The Ultimate Post

Monday, March 26th, 2007

Often times when blogging, one will discuss daily events, activities, hobbies, interests, or achievements.

This post, however, is none of the above. This is an entry about Kris. Kris has a blog at sinkmonky.net, and his blog is updated often enough. However, he lacks pictures, which are the most entertaining part of a blog. I have been encouraging him to post pictures, hopefully he will soon.

I would like you to all check out his blog right now and give him the encouragement he needs. Go ahead, click this and visit his blog. Post a comment. Let him know how much he needs to put some pictures up.

For now, that is all. And to avoid being a hypocrite, here are some of my photographs.
