Depressing Weather Ahead

Tuesday, April 29th, 2008

I don’t normally dwell on the weather, as it just comes-and-goes without too much of an impact on my life. This time of year, we all really want nice, warm, spring weather. And up to now there really hasn’t been one warm spring day in New England.

In hopes of nice weather this weekend, I decided to check the upcoming forecast…

Lots of stupid rain.

You’ll note the following 8 days will all be warm and sunny… if you live in Washington State!!!

What’s going on here? We all need a little sunshine once in a while… except for the vampires. they don’t really count as people anyway, so who cares. What’s causing this horrible spring?

If you refer to my Happiness Vs. Weather graph below, you can see by the celebrity comparisons, that the soon-to-be weather is going to have a dramatic effect on happiness levels for the upcoming days.

Celebrity Weather Versus Happiness Comparison

Not good. Hopefully Britney Spears will release a new album, maybe a duet with Hannah Montana, and it’ll top the charts and bring us some more rain… or maybe not. I think either one of the two is a bad thing to wish for.

More from California

Tuesday, April 8th, 2008

A few days here and I’m sort of ready to leave. Don’t get me wrong, I thought I loved it. The weather has been okay, but I think I’m ready to head home.

Maybe I’m just being extremely overworked and severely underpaid, or one of the two, as usual, but either way, I will feel more comfortable once I’m back in my apartment in NYC.

Here are a few photos from the past day or three. Enjoy.

We drove out to the desert for an hour or so, and ended up in a town called El Mirage, somewhere northwest of Fontana, California. Found a dry lake bed, and had some fun.

We drove out to a dry lake bed

We spent most of today filming some Supercar Life footage.

Derek DeAngelis was in his prime of course. JF filmed.

I also did some filming.

We managed to cover a bunch of great stuff…

I actually managed to have some fun, delivering equipment.

The aviators made the day possible. Tune in tomorrow for some more photos.

Fontana California, Day 1

Saturday, April 5th, 2008

So I just arrived in Fontana, California last night, for work. I spent the day with my friends and co-workers filming some things for a few episodes of Garage419. I won’t go into any detail as to what we were doing, I don’t want to spoil the episode, but enjoy the photos.

We started out at the Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.

I filmed…

And the G419 GT3 rounded the track for a few laps.

We decided to get some lunch… in a convenient place…

After eating, the group posed for the camera. Nothing too fancy, but it works.

Much more happened, but I don’t want to spoil the secrets. Tune in to Garage419 over the following few weeks, as well as Fast Lane Daily next week, for some pretty cool stuff from Fontanta and the Auto Club Speedway.

Relaxation… what the HELL?

Monday, January 21st, 2008

Today, for the first time in probably 9 months (I’m pregnant with vacation), I had an entire day off. Oh, that’s amazing!! Ian takes a day off from work!

Well, technically I didn’t take the day off. I had the day off because it’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day, and well, I was off from work to observe the holiday. Everyone at the company was, for the most part. While I should have been an active member of society, going out and respecting the world in which we live in today, which is constantly improving… I decided against it.

I did nothing. Absolutely nothing. In fact, I watched 4 movies today. I was in my bed, in complete darkness, with the shades drawn, watching movies. It was fantastic.

I can hardly feel my body, I am so numb from relaxation I don’t even know what to do with myself. Should I be happy? Should I be confused? Well, I am confused… but how should I react?

Somebody help me, this is too awesome to understand!!!
