The Jackson family has a long-established brand in the Sonoma area, Vérité, which has been very well received. The most exciting of the Vérité line, according to Julia, is Vérité La Joie a Cabernet heavy Bourdeaux blend that has been doing very well. Jackson believes that the Sonoma area is the perfect fit for the Cabernet grape varietal and has worked very hard to prove this point. The Vérité La Joie has been as well liked as many of the Chardonnay and Pinot Noir offerings from the region. It will be interesting to see how well the market receives these Cabernet blends from Sonoma.
The Jackson family is constantly innovating and introducing new wines through their multiple brands that are located throughout the world. Julia is excited to see how well the Cabernet varietal fares in Sonoma as she believes that this grape is just as important as the Chardonnays and Pinot Noirs for which the area is known. Many times a popularity of a grape continues due to the familiarity and when something new comes along some people have difficulty adjusting their expectations. Julia Jackson will continue to innovate and explore many more possibilities.
